Mark your calendar! The David T. Jones Memorial/MonkeesConvention will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 1-3 at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel and Conference Center in East Rutherford, NJ. Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork, along with Davy’s daughters and a large roster of guests, will appear. Some of the convention proceeds will benefit the Davy Jones Equine Memorial Fund.
We’ve restocked some CDs and other merchandise just in time for Christmas! Visit the Davy Jones website Store page for details!
Note from davyjones.net: We’re still catching up on an enormous amount of orders–literally a 300% increase since that fateful February day. Compounding that, the website crashed a few times. It’s taking us up to 30-45 days to meet demand, so we ask everyone to please bear with us. Thank you for all your support of Davy’s official site.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in answering e-mails and contacting people who purchased merchandise. We know you all understand how difficult it has been since Davy passed away. Some merchandise items are sold out. When they become available again we will post it on davyjones.net. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult transition.
Furthermore, many thanks to the literally hundreds of people who wrote this site expressing condolences. Your outpouring of love deeply touches everyone in Davy’s circle of family and friends.
Due to higher-than-usual demand since Davy’s passing, the main website (davyjones.net) and this blog have intermittently been unavailable. If you can’t get to the sites, try again at a later time and they should be back up.
It is with the deepest sadness that Davy’s family has announced that he passed away on February 29th. Jessica has lost a devoted husband, and Talia, Sarah, Jessica, and Annabel a loving father, while Harrison, Lauren, and Phoenix have lost a proud grandfather. His sisters in England—Hazel, Beryl, and Lynda—have lost their brother.
While we are deeply saddened by our loss, we give thanks and find comfort in our memories.
Davy loved to laugh each day, and we know he would want his fans to remember him with laughter and not tears. You all meant such a lot to him. If we all listen a little bit harder we will hear him singing with the angels tonight. Our wish for him is that he sleep tight… we will always be with him.
Love Still Abides
He has passed on beyond the range of sight
Into the glory of the morning light
Out of the reach of sorrow and despair
Safe in the shelter of the Father’s care
Weep not for him, say not he is dead
He has gone on a few short steps ahead
Faith looks beyond this time of grief and pain
Love still abides, and we shall meet again.
It’s been a while, but here is my latest Diva… my granddaughter Lauren.
Here I am in Devon with one of my lovely foals, Bazfoster.
Here I am, contemplating a dive into the deep blue sea.
I told them to keep those garbage cans out of the view. Oh well…
