John Stewart, Americana music legend and composer of “Daydream Believer,” passed away on January 19, 2008. On May 3rd, a memorial concert was held at Pepperdine University in Malibu, featuring artists whose careers were, in some way, affected by John Stewart. Davy performed, and the roster also included Lindsey Buckingham, Rosanne Cash, Henry Diltz, Micky Dolenz, Chip Douglas, Russ Kunkel, Billy Mumy, Timothy B. Schmidt (The Eagles), Peter Tork, and more. A slideshow of the event is available at the photo gallery section of Davy’s site. More photos and information about the event here. [posted by admin]
